TMXIO Plugin Versions and Updates
TMXIO publishes its own WordPress plugins. They are not distributed through the WordPress.org plugin directory, so the version you run and the notes describing it come from TMXIO rather than from a public directory listing.
Read the installed version
Section titled “Read the installed version”The installed version is the plugin header WordPress already shows.
- Open Plugins → Installed Plugins in WordPress Admin.
- Read the version under the TMXIO plugin entry.
For several Websites at once, open Account → Operations → Bulk Management → Plugins and compare the reported versions instead of visiting each Website.
How an update reaches a Website
Section titled “How an update reaches a Website”A TMXIO plugin update becomes available when TMXIO publishes a release for that plugin. Each published release is fixed: its version, package, and checksum do not change afterwards. A correction ships as a new release with a new version, never as an edit to a version you may already have installed.
Once a release is published, apply it from Account → Operations → Bulk Management → Plugins. TMXIO-managed releases are not added to WordPress’s native Plugins → Installed Plugins update feed.
The Website must be connected to TMXIO for updates to be offered. A Website whose connection is broken keeps running its installed version and stops being offered new ones until the connection is repaired. See Troubleshoot a WordPress Connection when a Website stops reporting a version.
What changed in a release
Section titled “What changed in a release”Read the release details in TMXIO before applying an update. The plugin’s own readme.txt also carries a changelog section describing recent versions.
Non-TMXIO plugins delivered through TMXIO
Section titled “Non-TMXIO plugins delivered through TMXIO”TMXIO can also deliver plugins your Account has uploaded, including premium or in-house plugins, through Account → Operations → Bulk Management → Plugins. Those releases are available only when the Website is connected and the plugin has a published release in your Account. Their version numbers and notes come from that uploaded release, not from TMXIO’s own plugin versions.
